I'm trying to stay motivated to improve myself. Over the past few days I have been slacking. I need to eat more, work out more consistently, improve my sleep schedule, and stop wasting time on my phone. A few months ago I deleted YouTube and my phone's browser from my phone because I was wasting so much time on YouTube and Reddit. I also deleted the app store from my phone through a special software I ran on my computer so I wouldn't be able to download YouTube and the browsers again. It has helped tremendously, but I still find ways to waste time on my phone.

Sometimes I get so complacent with where I am. Self-improvement is a never-ending cycle. Some trigger (feeling like shit, hyperfixating on some self-insecurity) causes me to pick self-improvement (working out, skin care, posture correction, etc.) back up. I start working hard for a few days. After a few days of hard work I lose the drive to stay consistent and revert to my old habits. After a few days another trigger hits and the cycle repeats. Its exhausting. How do I stay consistent? I don't know if I'm just acting like a bitch or if the problem is something deeper.

Just for future reference, here's a list of things I want to do. I've heard that goals should be S.M.A.R.T. so I've tried to phrase some of them accordingly.

  1. Reach 145 lbs (I am 134 lbs last I checked) by the end of this year.
  2. Improve my posture by the end of this year consistently performing posture correction exercises.
  3. Work out 4 days a week.
  4. Fix my sleep schedule. Lights out before midnight. Out of bed by 8:30 am.
  5. Do skincare and wear retainers every day.

That's all for this entry.
